Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan is a famous American singer-songwriter. She's also known by her popular nickname, the Queen of Funk. Over the course of her career, which has been spanning more than five decades, she's won a total of ten Grammys. Billboard declared her to be the 65th most famous dancer in history. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at a very young stage by her maternal grandmother. When she first started her career she performed with various bands. Then, she joined a group known as Rufus. In the year 2000, she released her first album together as the rest of the group. One year later the group won their debut Grammy. Then, a few years later, she was able to make her debut as a solo artist. She the album was self-titled. Through the years, she has released a number of albums, including 'Echoes of an Era, The Woman I Am,' and Funk This. Also, she is known for her charity work. Chaka Khan Foundation, which she established in order to help people with autism and children as well as poor families. Khan is also a frequent actor. She was Sister Carrie, from the show "Mama, I Want to Sing."
