Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born on March 14th, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A.) American Gymnast considered one the sport's most outstanding athletes. Biles was the very first American female gymnast in history to have won four gold medals during a single Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to ever win successive World All-Around championships. Biles along with her younger sister Adria, who were adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region) and grew up in the Houston area. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics at age six in a day-care field excursion at Bannon's Gymnastix and she remained there for 11 years, under the guidance of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles achieved a silver medal at vaulting in the year 2010 as well as a bronze medal at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Then she moved on to competitions at the elite level in the year 2011. She was the most dominant in her sport less than two year later. Biles made headlines for her constant performance her enthusiasm and level of difficulty that she included throughout each competition--vault, uneven bars the balance beam, and the ground exercise.
